A few years ago I stumbled into the role of being an influencer virtual assistant and I have never looked back!
Since starting in this role, I have built a six-figure influencer virtual assistant agency. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it is really happening!
There are hundreds of millions of proclaimed “influencers” in this world. These influencers are building huge businesses that revolve around sharing content and “influencing” people!
I can assure you there is no shortage of job oppurtunitues in this space, so I wanted to walk you guys through my steps on how to find Influencer Virtual Assistant jobs.
Step 1. Your Portfolio
There are a few key things I always recommend having in a portfio.
- Professional Picture of Yourself: This helps the influencer connect a face to the message and make the entire online experience a bit more personable.
- Work Experience: Include relevant work experience that caters towards social media, admin tasks, creative jobs, etc.
- Work Examples: Include images of graphics you’ve created, links to videos you’ve edited, or analytics you’ve gathered from previous clients.
- References: Even if you are brand new to the industry, put down references for peope that can vouch for you being creative, trustworthy, hard-working, etc.
Your portfolio doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I use canva to create a fully customizable presentation. They have a wide variety of templates you can work from.
Step 2. Find Influencers You Want To Work With
I find clients that I would like to partner with my going to Instagram! I recommend looking for content creators in the 50k follower and up range. You may be able to find content creators with less followers looking for some help, but more often I find they aren’t looking for extra help until they get to that 50-100K follower mark. No discrimination obviously, it is just purely business. Content creators with a bigger following/engagement typically get more business, thus have more money to invest back into their business.
I always recommend contact content creators/influencers through their email. Creators are in their email inbox everyday. It is where they communicate with brands, gifting suites, their teams, etc. Email is the way to go. Ditch linkedin and other online application sites. Email allows you to curate the perfect message and show them your work right away.
Now if you don’t have a good subject line/email body your email is probably getting put directly into their trash folder.

After The Email
The more emails you send the better. Your response rate will show you where you need to refine your reach-out.
If you aren’t getting responses I recommend refining your approach.
Really look at your subject line, email body, and portfolio.
Send to friends and colleagues to get an honest opinion on where you could potentially improve your reach-out.
Thank you so much for being here!
